Bob Larson: Video Producer & Marketing Consultant

I have multiple degrees in electronics engineering, marketing, and management. I received my Associates in Electronics Engineering Degree from North American Technical Institute in Albuquerque, NM. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from National University in San Diego and an Executive MBA degree from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles.

I worked for Motorola Inc. for 28 years as a systems engineer, sales engineer, sales management, marketing management, and business development from 1972 to 2000. After taking early retirement, I started my own manufacturing and marketing company Robbie Enterprises in various consumer products for five years during 2010 to 2015. Several economy mishaps during the dot.com and real estate bubbles changed my career once again!

Afterwards, I worked for 50 Plus Marketplace News as an Account Manager in 2010, where I worked with advertisers in Fort Collins and the surrounding area on finding the right advertising solution and developing their advertising campaign for our newspaper.
As their past Marketing Director in 2012, I was responsible for creating new advertising solutions for the B2B and B2C markets, provides sales support and training the sales personnel, and manages both our video production, websites, and social media pages. As a photojournalist, I wrote inspiring articles for the senior community. I additionally wrote a monthly technology column to inspire the senior community about the latest technologies for their use!
As the Executive Video Producer for 50 Plus, I had over 25 years of video production in videography, script writing, and editing. However, I started my videography career at Motorola in 1985 creating sales promo videos in Salt Lake City and creating personal vacation videos.

Currently, I volunteer for the Larimer County Genealogical Society in Fort Collins as their Education, Web, & Video Committees Chair, genealogy instructor, and library volunteer besides being their past president since 2001. I was past president and currently webinar chair and video operations chair for the Colorado Council of Genealogical Societies in Denver. I also create videos for six genealogy societies in Northern Colorado!

I regularly record and edit monthly documentary videos for my local genealogical society since 2005 and produced various video promos for 50 Plus News and other businesses and non-profit organizations since 2009. Besides taking online video classes, I learned the video production techniques at the Fort Collins Public Media Group, aka Fort Collins Cable Channel 97, where I produced a TV series called Genealogy Quest creating 16 one-half-hour video programs for my local genealogy society!

Additionally, I also teach genealogy classes for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, and at Denver University in Denver, CO since 2025!

Plus, I also volunteer for two veterans groups: Board member & Marketing Consultant for Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado and Veterans with Dementia, part of Dementia Together, both in Fort Collins. I was a veteran of the Army National Guard in Montana & New Mexico during the 1960s!
